FIVE Months Old!

We had a busy month! The day after Braylor turned four months old, we tried some cereal for the very first time. He didn't know what to think about it at first.

 I think I like this!

Halloween was fun! We dressed up and went to the Fall Festival at church on Friday before Halloween. Braylor was a bear.

Things I am doing this month:

• I started to roll over and sit up.
• I started eating food. We started with cereal, then green beans, carrots, and squash. The green beans were my least favorite.
• I still love to pull hair.
• I love to play on the floor and in my exersaucer.
• I am still eating 5-6oz bottles every 2 hours.
• I am teething and I put everything in my mouth!
• I am playing good by myself. I am starting to like books and to be read to

Little Punkin in the Pumpkin Patch

We enjoyed our day at Paradise Pumpkin Patch at Hawkins Ridge Lodge in Bakerhill. What started out to be a trip with the cousins and Aunt Erica turned into a family affair! When we arrived, Braylor enjoyed petting the goat...

Braylor's Beach Trip!

We went to the beach to celebrate Mommy's birthday on her Fall Break from school. We swung by Dothan and took Braylor to his 4 month checkup. We ate at Blue Plate and then we were on our way! Braylor slept most of the way there. We stayed at Seaheaven Hotel. The sun makes him squint his eyes, so we have to wait until sunset to get some pictures. He loved to "stand" in the sand.

We ate dinner at Boon Docks. Braylor loves to play with tables for some reason. He likes to slap, hit, rub, etc all over them. We started our day Saturday by getting breakfast at Thomas'. It is a tradition of ours that we will continue. It was gorgeous weather, but really windy. We couldn't put up the umbrella on the rental chairs, so Braylor napped in the shade that my chair made while I tannned.

We ate a late lunch/early supper at Harpoon Harry's. We then went to Pier Park, shopped a little, and went to Sharky's (which was next door to our hotel) to watch the Alabama vs. Vanderbilt game. Roll Tide! The next morning, we got some early pictures on the beach before it became too sunny.

We then came on  home since it was cloudy and overcast. We were ready to get back in our own bed and get Braylor back on his routine. Of course, we had to stop by Buddy's to get some steamed shrimp to take back to Barbour County!

We are ready for the next trip! We know by next summer Braylor will really be able to enjoy the beach!

FOUR Months Old!!

Many fun things happened during this month! Football season began, and Braylor experienced his very first Alabama football game! Although, we didn't actually GO to the game, it is just as intense at our house!

This is also the month that Braylor started rolling over! His babyistter, Jessica, was the first to see it. Then, Daddy, and last Mommy. This made Mommy sad at first, but he has definitely made up for it because he does it ALL the time!

Aunt Heather came to visit. We enjoyed it SO much. It gave us a much needed break!!! We watched football on Saturday and went to church on Sunday. We were so glad she went with us!

We started wearing big boy pajamas this month! No more sleepers/gowns!!!

Other Highlights from this month:

• Labor Day weekend, which was right after he turned 3 months old, Braylor started sleeping in his "big boy" bed....meaning the crib in HIS room. He was sleeping in a bassinet by Mommy's side of the bed. He adjusted extremely well to the change. Mommy was VERY sad though. It made me realize even more how fast he is growing up. :( Never again will I be able to just reach my hand out from the cover and feel his chest/ heartbeat to make sure he is breathing. Now, we just depend on the monitor. 
• He still drinks 5-6 oz...and sleeps thru the night.
• At his 4 month check-up, we got mean ole shots again. He weighed 18 lbs 3 oz. However, this was just the "average" of all the different numbers that were shown on the scale. He was such a wiggle worm that the nurse couldn't get an accurate weight. We think he is on the bigger side of 18 pounds. He measured 27 inches long. Doctor said 80th percentile in both weight and height....50th percentile in head circumference.
• He is wearing sizes 6-9 months, mostly.
• He loves grabbing onto Mommy's hair.
• He enjoys playing in his exersaucer and rolling around under his jungle gym. He also has to be walked around to look at everything. This gets to be exhausting...especially for Mommy. :)
• He is such a HAPPY baby. He loves to smile and giggle!

It was a very busy month....but we are loving every minute!

THREE Months Old!!!

We can't believe our little man is three months old! We had a VERY busy month! Mommy started school on August 4. We celebrated Daddy's birthday on August 5, and cousin Cole's birthday on August 8. Daddy turned 26 years old! We went to eat at Cajun Corner with Granmona, Stephanie, and Jeffrey. We had a photo session before going to eat....

We celebrated with Brady's family on that Sunday at Sister's. We then enjoyed cake and icecream to celebrate Cole turning 3!

Braylor's first lake outing was August 27. We had a Fun Day with our Sunday School class families as an outreach to start off our "Courageous" Bible study for the month of September. Braylor loved being out by the water so much that he forgot about eating! He also forgot to take a nap!

Later, we went to celebrate with Dusty, MacKenzie, and their families the finding out of Baby Kimbrow. Turns out Baby K is a BOY! We were totally and completely SHOCKED! We just knew it would be a girl! However, we are so THRILLED that Braylor will have a buddy! We are so thankful for their friendship, and we can hardly wait for the arrival of Benjamin James Kimbrow!

Highlights from this month:

• Braylor still loves his babysitter, and she is doing a great job! So blessed to have her come to our home!
• He eats 5oz on a regular 2 hour basis and 6oz in the morning and after naps.
• We weighed him on the day he turned three months. He weighed in at 15.8 lbs! He is wearing some 6 month outfits.
• He LOVES watching youtube clips! Especially Old Macdonald or anything with animals. He can be screaming to the top of his lungs, and if we turn that on, he will stare in a trance!
• He also enjoys watching his Baby Genius DVDs. His favorite character is DJ the dinosaur!
• He still LOVES his jungle gym!
• 
• He got a new toy...an Exersaucer! He likes it, but is not quite big enough for it yet. He can hold his head up, but not so much his back. We still play in it though, and we know he will LOVE it the older he gets!
  
  I am so glad that God chose me to be Braylor's Mommy! I could not love any earthly thing more!

It has been the best 3 months of my life!
