SEVEN Months Old/First Christmas!

December was a busy, FUN month! Braylor got to celebrate his first Christmas, and I got to catch a glimpse of what it is like to be a stay at home mom. Needless to say, we both LOVED this month and hated for it to end!
We were honored when we were asked to be Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus at the Hark the Herald Christmas musical at Parkview Baptist Church. We truly want Braylor to understand the real meaning of the Christmas season. We both read the Christmas story to him many times, but we realize he isn't quite old enough to understand it just yet...Thank you to the family that came to show support: Granmona, Rudy, Aunt Steph, Nana, and Papa. I do believe he was the biggest baby Jesus I have ever seen!
"That Baby Jesus was fed camel's milk."- John Wayne Robinson
He LOVED Mommy staying at home with him everyday. We had the best time playing!
Pappy came over the Wednesday night before Christmas. We had pizza and exchanged gifts. He gave Braylor his first gift of this Christmas season: a mini John Deere wagon!
He is crawling everywhere and climbing on everything!
First stop was Christmas in Dothan at Mimmie's on Friday!

Next was Christmas Eve lunch at NanNaws in Glenwood.
Then on to Nana's that afternoon. He loves playing with his cousins!

After a bath! Ready for Santa...
Santa came! Braylor was a good boy!
Santa's cookies...he took one bite and drank all of his milk!
First look at Santa's gifts...

Pappy came to see what Santa brought!

We got dressed and went to church. We celebrated the birth of Jesus by singing carols; and Bro. Glenn preached a wonderful message titled, "Missing Christmas", which really put all of the hustle and bustle of Christmas into perspective. Nana, Papa, and Aunt Heather joined us for church. They were in a hurry to leave when it was over so we did not get to take a picture with them at that time. Granmona came to our house and cooked our traditional Christmas lunch: shrimp chowder! We also had a table full of finger foods such as divinity, cheese straws, cheesecake bites, etc. It was SO NICE for her to help us out by coming to our house!!! We appreciated her thinking of our convenience when planning for Christmas. She gave Braylor a swing that he LOVES, and she got a recordable book that reads "The First Christmas" story using her voice. It was such a thoughtful gift that I know Braylor will cherish always.
We left them at our house to go see MawMaw late afternoon/night. We were worn "slap out" when Christmas was over!
Resting the day after Christmas in his new chair!
I saw this John Deere wagon and just HAD to have it for Braylor. I knew he would love it for years to come! Thank you to Nana and Papa for buying it!
Gus likes it, too!
 He LOVES being outside!
and taking a bath!

7 Months old on New Years Eve!!!
Going to Cajun Corner to celebrate!
This month...
  • He is down to 4 bottles a day....7 oz in each. We wake up, bottle, then juice 2 hours later, then vegatable for lunch. Nap, then bottle, another bottle a few hours later, fruit for supper and then bottle before bed.
  • We found out on New Years Eve that he LOVES the croutons from Cajun Corner. He also snacks on saltine crackers and cheese puffs.
  • He is crawling EVERYWHERE and pulling up on everything! He is a pro!
  • Still teething....no teeth!
  • We changed out his carseat.....no more rear facing infant carrier :(
  • He LOVES laughing at Gus!
  • He LOVES his Praise Baby DVD. (I do, too) :)
  • We cleaned out his closet/drawers and put all 6 month clothes away. He is in all 9/12 months.
He is a growing boy! We see before our eyes everyday a baby fading away! We sure love this little boy!
