TWELVE Months Old!

May is always a fun month! We are counting down the days until school is out for the summer! The first weekend in May, Mommy took a half day off of work and we left for the BEACH! We did not realize it was Thunder Beach weekend when we booked, and there were motorcycles EVERYWHERE! The loud pipes would hurt our ears. Thankfully, we stayed at a SUPER nice place called Laketown Wharf. We could not hear the loud sounds in our room. Nana and Papa met us down there and stayed the first night with us. Braylor was unsure of the beach this time, and didn't like the way the sand felt on his knees when he crawled.

 Laketown Wharf had an AMAZING kiddie pool! It was only 1/2 foot deep all around and had the coolest toys!

The next day we were back at it again!

 We tried out a new place this trip that we will DEFINITELY eat at again: The Shrimp Boat! Mommy LOVED the Mudslides and the shrimp pompano. Daddy loved the Margaritas and Steak!

 We were so glad that Granmona, Rudy, and Aunt Steph came and ate with us! They also stayed for the lights show on the lake!

Back to reality! We enjoyed watching Mommy's students play baseball. Can't wait for our Little Slugger to be out there soon!

 Mother's Day was the best this year! I am honored to be this little boy's Mama! The beach trip was a nice gift, and I also got a floppy hat and a gift certificate to get a pedicure. SO blessed! This little boy is my WORLD!

After going to church, we headed to Troy and ate lunch at Sister's with Nana, Papa, and Aunt Heather. We went by and visited MawMaw at the Nursing Home afterwards and then headed to see Granmona.

 Braylor loved pulling MawMaw's hair! He was fascinated by it and could not get near her without trying to grab it!

Pappy and Aunt Steph came to visit and we went to eat Mexican. Of course, Braylor eats his own side order of french fries! He also shares chips and cheese dip with Mommy!

 The third Saturday in May is always the Festival at the Well. We got to play with Matt's baby, Mason, but failed to get a picture of this cutie! We went and ate at the Chicken Shack for lunch. Braylor LOVED the flowing well and would pitch a fit (which he doesn't do very often right now) when we would go away from it. He loved wearing his new sunglasses to keep the sun out of his eyes!

Miss Jessie's last day. Mommy cried and cried after she left. We have been SOOO blessed to have her keep Braylor this year. She has definitely been a "God-send" for our family.

We are so glad it is hot enough to swim!

 Memorial Day was a day of reflection for me. I remembered so vividly the previous Memorial Day being filled with anxiety as I was preparing to go to Dothan to be induced that afternoon at 5:00. I can hardly believe a year has gone by. Braylor was clapping to celebrate. Rudy, Granmona, and Nannie came to visit that afternoon.

 

Milestones this month:

He is being a LOT more vocal. He says "Ma Ma Ma Ma Ma" more than he says "Da Da Da Da Da". He also says "Guh (Gus)". We also made the change to whole milk rather than formula. We did this gradually starting by replacing the afternoon milk, then morning, then lastly the night time. He now has 8 teeth: 4 on top, 4 on bottom. We have also noticed him playing with his toys more. He still LOVES watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. As you can tell by most of the photos, he has learned to clap, and he is VERY good at it! He loves eating anything and everything, and has been loving the fresh vegetables from Pappy's garden. We have loved every minute of the last twelve months and can't wait to see what all this next year has in store for us!
